The General Secretariat of the Arab Lawyers Union has announced its support for the Association of Victims of NATO and supported the legal procedures taken by the Association and expressed its readiness to put all its capabilities, consultations and legal expertise to bring cases before the African Court.
This came in a meeting that included: )Naser Cryon the Secretary General of the Union Khaled AL-khawildy President of the Association, Tawfiq Omar Noueiri Assistant Secretary of the Union, Ms. Fathia Hidali, Deputy Secretary-General of the African Lawyers’ Union, and Dr. Mohamed Zubaida, Chairman of the Association’s Legal Affairs Committee.
Nasser al-Kraiwen expressed the Secretariat’s readiness to assist the Association by providing legal advice, addressing NATO on crimes committed in Libya, highlighting the issue to international human rights organizations, and providing all support to the case of Libya.

Khalid al-Khuwaildi briefed the General Secretariat of the Union of Lawyers on the progress of the case, and the steps and procedures reached in the Belgian courts, and forward them to the Supreme Court, in preparation for referral to the European Court of Human Rights.

Al-Khuwaildi added, “The League is accelerating the process of filing a similar case against French President Sarkozy and the former prince of Qatar for their political, military and media roles in invading and destroying Libya since 2011, and the loss of thousands of victims, including mutilated martyrs and wounded, amputees and tumors as a result of using the Alliance.
